Green onion kimchi is insanely good. Breath killer though. Give it to friends and family with some mints on the side.

Freeze them and use them in recipes

  • jog212·Aug 30, 2:18 PM

Donate some to food banks. Scallion Pancakes. Beef Negimaki Scallion Cream Cheese.

From Sift, charred green onion milk bread babka.

Post it on a buy nothing group. It's good in salads, tacos, quesadillas and on nachos.

I saw a piece recently suggesting it could be frozen with the right preparation. It appears they need to be frozen in a single layer first, before putting them in a zipper bag. This keeps them from freezing together.

    Facebook marketplace

Can you sell or donate some? Green onion kimchi will keep for a long while.

Give it to that guy who is constantly in my feed with his “chopping green onions every day until it’s perfect” posts.

  • campfirepluscheese·Sep 2, 4:48 AM

Food processor with an S blade and coarse grind them with a little olive oil and salt, then freeze in convenient size ziploc bags. Maybe you could ask someone with Facebook to post on a buy nothing group or a free stuff group in your area.

Hmmm, I’m not sure. I wash them, pat dry and cut them with kitchen scissors. Put them right into ziplock freezer bags and use what I need. They don’t stick together at all.

A literal pallet? If you like dumplings, you can get some minced pork, and make dumplings. Make scallion pancakes, either taiwanese or Korean pajeon style. Chop em up and freeze em? Negima chicken+scallion skewers.

  • no_confidence_4106_2·Sep 3, 12:20 AM

Yep. A literal pallet. Got a pallet of radishes also, the cows, donkeys and sheep took dibs on those. They frickin lost their mind over them

  • barkandmoone·Sep 3, 9:26 PM

I would host an onion party.

  • majestic_berry_5348·Sep 3, 9:43 PM

You could also very easily plant them

  • robin_bunny·Sep 3, 10:01 PM

Chop them up small, and freeze.

  • yospiff_2·Sep 3, 10:49 PM

Your experience means more than my web search does! Thanks for the info.

  • afraid_can_3732·Sep 3, 11:10 PM

Can you find a church run pantry they could take it

  • afraid_can_3732_2·Sep 4, 11:10 AM

Or stick it at your driveway and put a free box up, your neighbors can help you!!

  • pretend_panda·Sep 4, 11:15 AM

Scallion oil. Delicious, freezes well. Dehydrate. Pickle.

We eat a lot of green onions at our house 😁

  • growlingattheworld·Sep 4, 12:07 PM

Plant them and you can use them later.

  • flimsy_owl_8888·Sep 5, 3:39 PM

you can chop and freeze green onion, like in containers and then just use what you need.

  • lectroroot·Sep 6, 12:46 AM

May I...may I see it? Please?

  • ribertarianvoter·Sep 6, 4:08 AM

This is what I would do

  • large_independent198·Sep 6, 6:01 PM

Plant them if they have any semblance of a bulb!!

  • sufficient_effort948·Sep 6, 7:47 PM

Scallion butter for some of it

  • heytherekenz·Sep 7, 11:03 PM

Dehydrating in the oven can help preserve some too!

  • no_confidence_4106_3·Sep 7, 11:46 PM

This is like 250 lbs of onions. Nothing I come up with will be easy. Especially not planting them

  • primadiamonds·Sep 8, 12:18 AM
